Chasing truth, beauty, goodness, and all things naturally wholistic.

Faith over fear.

Ephesians 2:8-10

I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart since 2003. Together, we have four amazing children, by birth and adoption. When I am not homeschooling my favorite students, I spend my days on our 7-acre property where I try my best to love my family well and experiment with hobby homesteading. My favorite things to do are cultivate my ever-expanding gardens, wrangle chickens, ferment all the things, sourdough bake with einkorn flour, and figure out new ways to use herbal remedies and essential oils. I believe God has tasked us to be good stewards of our spaces in the world, and I guide my children to do the same.

I am a board member of The Sparrow Fund and an Empowered to Connect Facilitator. I love to dig in the dirt, cook nourishing food, capture beauty through my camera lens, watch the sunrise on the beach, and spend time with good literature on my porch while sipping on a hot cup of coffee.

Updated Memory Work Box

I’m in the thick of homeschool planning for our third year with Claritas memory work, so it seemed like a perfect time to update the blog’s memory work box post!  This isn’t an idea unique to me.  It is adapted from the Charlotte Mason scripture memorization system.  This method is a fantastic way to systematically...

I was recently offered the very special opportunity to return with a small group...

Updated Jenga Memory Work Review Game

During homeschool planning this week, I updated my original Jenga Memory Review Game to be more flexible.  It’s been one of my most popular blog posts, bur the game doesn’t always work the way I had set it up before.  It’ll now work for memory review, no matter how many weeks we are into the...

Twister Memory Work Review Game

As I continue prepping for the new school year, I wanted to have a few new memory review games in my bag of tricks.  I’ll be introducing the new memory work each week during community day, so I’m hoping this Twister review game will be a hit!  I was going for vestibular sensory input with...

CC Memory Box

I think the Memory Box is originally from Charlotte Mason to memorize scripture, but many Classical Conversations moms have adapted it to work with the CC grammar. I’ve had the idea pinned for … longer than I want to admit. So I finally got it put together just in time before we meet with our...
