Chasing truth, beauty, goodness, and all things naturally wholistic.

Faith over fear.

Ephesians 2:8-10

I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart since 2003. Together, we have four amazing children, by birth and adoption. When I am not homeschooling my favorite students, I spend my days on our 7-acre property where I try my best to love my family well and experiment with hobby homesteading. My favorite things to do are cultivate my ever-expanding gardens, wrangle chickens, ferment all the things, sourdough bake with einkorn flour, and figure out new ways to use herbal remedies and essential oils. I believe God has tasked us to be good stewards of our spaces in the world, and I guide my children to do the same.

I am a board member of The Sparrow Fund and an Empowered to Connect Facilitator. I love to dig in the dirt, cook nourishing food, capture beauty through my camera lens, watch the sunrise on the beach, and spend time with good literature on my porch while sipping on a hot cup of coffee.

2018-2019 Curriculum Choices

7!  Seven years!  I can’t believe this will be our seventh year homeschooling!  Everyone still agrees that it’s the right choice, so we’re sticking with it.  And I’m thankful, because I truly love having all of my loves at home.  We’re making a few changes this year, including joining a new co-op in addition to...

Einkorn Cornbread

Nothing says fall like football, chili, and cornbread!  Even though it still feels a little humid outside here, I’m bringing out all the fall decor and cooking.  On Sunday, we had football on the TV, chili going on the stove, and this delicious cornbread in the oven.  Yay for all the things of fall, even...

Our seventh first day

We officially started our seventh year of homeschooling today!  It seems crazy to think about it being our SEVENTH YEAR, but the numbers don’t lie.  We’re pretty sure it was our first rainy start day though – we’ve had so much rain and Hurricane Florence hasn’t even made her way to us yet.  At least...

Health Coaches, Nutritionists, and Dieticians?

I can hardly believe that it’s back to school time!  Even though homeschool officially begins next week, I am 6 weeks into my holistic health coach training at IIN.  My studies have been truly fascinating and eye opening thus far, and I grow more in love with the field of holistic health coaching with each...
