I was ecstatic to see blue blueberries on one of my bushes last week! After planting them last year, I wasn’t expecting them to produce any fruit quite yet, considering that blueberry bushes typically take several years to establish. While I don’t think we’ll see a large number of blueberries this season, it’s super promising nonetheless. I’ve never grown fruit before, so I just think it’s the most fascinating process to witness! Now I’m wondering if I need to plant more bushes than the six we already have growing. Oh man, decisions, decisions …
Blueberries that are allowed to ripen on the bush are so sweet and wonderful and juicy. Exactly the way they’re supposed to be. They make my not-super-crazy-about-fruit tendencies want to replace all snacking choices with blueberries. Yum!
