Faith over fear.

Ephesians 2:8-10

I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart since 2003. Together, we have four amazing children, by birth and adoption. When I am not homeschooling my favorite students, I spend my days on our 7-acre property where I try my best to love my family well and experiment with hobby homesteading. My favorite things to do are cultivate my ever-expanding gardens, wrangle chickens, ferment all the things, sourdough bake with einkorn flour, and figure out new ways to use herbal remedies and essential oils. I believe God has tasked us to be good stewards of our spaces in the world, and I guide my children to do the same.

I am a board member of The Sparrow Fund and an Empowered to Connect Facilitator. I love to dig in the dirt, cook nourishing food, capture beauty through my camera lens, watch the sunrise on the beach, and spend time with good literature on my porch while sipping on a hot cup of coffee.

A Prescription for Vitamin N

It’s been a bit quiet here on the blog over the past month.  With the new school schedule requiring me to spend quite a bit of time away from the house doing drop-offs and pick-ups, there hasn’t been a lot of time for writing.  However, the one nice positive of spending so much time driving...

Nourishing School Lunches

When we decided to enroll (most of) our kids in traditional school, one of the first thoughts I had was … oh no, I have to make school lunches!  Maybe this isn’t a surprise to you, but yes, I seriously spent a lot of time thinking about this.  Though the schools do have some bought-lunch...

For everything, there is a season

I alluded to the fact that my family had some exciting transitions to anticipate for 2020 in a recent blog post.  We are officially closing the book on a big part of our lives as we begin to write the first chapter in a new one. Today marks the beginning of a tremendous shift for...
