Chasing truth, beauty, goodness, and all things naturally wholistic.

Faith over fear.

Ephesians 2:8-10

I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart since 2003. Together, we have four amazing children, by birth and adoption. When I am not homeschooling my favorite students, I spend my days on our 7-acre property where I try my best to love my family well and experiment with hobby homesteading. My favorite things to do are cultivate my ever-expanding gardens, wrangle chickens, ferment all the things, sourdough bake with einkorn flour, and figure out new ways to use herbal remedies and essential oils. I believe God has tasked us to be good stewards of our spaces in the world, and I guide my children to do the same.

I am a board member of The Sparrow Fund and an Empowered to Connect Facilitator. I love to dig in the dirt, cook nourishing food, capture beauty through my camera lens, watch the sunrise on the beach, and spend time with good literature on my porch while sipping on a hot cup of coffee.

Simple DIY Taco Seasoning

We’ve been making our own seasoning mixes for probably about two years.  Our Ranch Seasoning Mix is used on an almost daily basis in our home for all the things, and we use this taco seasoning mix about once a week.  Mixing up the ingredients does take a little extra time, but it’s minimal.  In...

Oils 101 | Copaiba Vitality

Unlike most other essential oils that are steam distilled, Copaiba Vitality (pronounced coe-pie-ee-ba) is created from gum resin tapped directly from the Copaiba tree native to Brazil.  It is highly regarded for its beta-caryophyllene content.  Do some research and read more about that HERE to find out why this oil is such a powerhouse to...

My health story | Part II

READ PART I HERE! I did eventually become interested in fitness and health enough that my husband and I, along with our business partner, opened three Curves Fitness Facilities beginning in 2003. But the over-processed, high-carb, high-sugar food choices I made all through my childhood and into my college days shaped the cooking style of...
