Chasing truth, beauty, goodness, and all things naturally wholistic.

Faith over fear.

Ephesians 2:8-10

I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart since 2003. Together, we have four amazing children, by birth and adoption. When I am not homeschooling my favorite students, I spend my days on our 7-acre property where I try my best to love my family well and experiment with hobby homesteading. My favorite things to do are cultivate my ever-expanding gardens, wrangle chickens, ferment all the things, sourdough bake with einkorn flour, and figure out new ways to use herbal remedies and essential oils. I believe God has tasked us to be good stewards of our spaces in the world, and I guide my children to do the same.

I am a board member of The Sparrow Fund and an Empowered to Connect Facilitator. I love to dig in the dirt, cook nourishing food, capture beauty through my camera lens, watch the sunrise on the beach, and spend time with good literature on my porch while sipping on a hot cup of coffee.

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!  So much to be thankful for this year.  Just overwhelmed with His goodness.  “The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” Psalm 126:3

Minecrafting

Well, he’s officially been introduced to one of the children’s favorite games – Minecraft.  And he enjoyed it just like everyone else.  I’m always amazed at how patient the other kids are with Dumpling.  They so gently showed him how to play and how to use the i-devices the right way.  Simply precious.

Baba bonding

He’s been a little slower to warm up, but he’s quickly realizing that his daddy is pretty cool.  These two have such fun together, I love seeing them play.  Daddy has always been the “fun one” with the children … the parent who lets them climb all over him and who is always up for...

Breakfast for dinner

I was solo for dinner a couple nights this past week.  Because I can’t leave Dumpling even for a minute right now as he explores life, breakfast for dinner seemed like a quick and easy choice.  Fortunately he loves to help out in the kitchen, or with any other household chore for that matter.  So...
