Chasing truth, beauty, goodness, and all things naturally wholistic.

Faith over fear.

Ephesians 2:8-10

I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart since 2003. Together, we have four amazing children, by birth and adoption. When I am not homeschooling my favorite students, I spend my days on our 7-acre property where I try my best to love my family well and experiment with hobby homesteading. My favorite things to do are cultivate my ever-expanding gardens, wrangle chickens, ferment all the things, sourdough bake with einkorn flour, and figure out new ways to use herbal remedies and essential oils. I believe God has tasked us to be good stewards of our spaces in the world, and I guide my children to do the same.

I am a board member of The Sparrow Fund and an Empowered to Connect Facilitator. I love to dig in the dirt, cook nourishing food, capture beauty through my camera lens, watch the sunrise on the beach, and spend time with good literature on my porch while sipping on a hot cup of coffee.

Summer Success Secrets

Now that school’s out, I’ve seen lots of “summer survival” posts all over the internet, but “survival” sounds sort of … desperate … to me. I don’t want to think of the summer as a season we have to survive just because we’re on a school break.  I want it to be a time for...

Is organic really better?

I don’t remember exactly when I first started buying organics, but my oldest daughter was very young.  Back then, only a few stores stocked organic food and there wasn’t much variety.  I was insistent upon buying organic milk and eggs though, because I had read enough evidence that supported spending the extra money.  I was...

Under Construction | My path to health coaching

Like many moms, I spent years not taking the time to care for myself.  I put forth all of my effort to care for my children, my husband, and my home, but just didn’t make time for self care.  Unfortunately, that resulted in unhealthy habits, a lot of weight gain over the years, and negative...

My Summer Reading List

My summer reading list is a bit … eh … aggressive, to put it mildly.  In fairness though, I’m hoping to clock many, many hours of reading while sitting by the pool or overlooking the Atlantic.  I only get the opportunity to read in very small quantities during the school year, so I like to...
