I will not pretend or try to convince anyone that our days are filled with storybook moments. In fact, most of the time, I’m settling arguments, hugging injured children, wiping messes off the floor, trying to get schoolwork complete, doing laundry, crossing bullet items off the never-ending to-do list, or just sneaking a piece of chocolate in the bathroom.
But last week when I took the clean (and folded even!) laundry upstairs to the kids’ rooms, I spied a scene that made my heart skip a beat. In the boys’ bedroom, I caught Mr. Lovebug reading aloud Dumpling’s favorite bedtime story. Precious, precious, precious. They had both crawled into bed together to snuggle up. Oh. My. Word.
I begged them to let me get the camera, as it seemed like a real camera kinda moment and not just a quick iPhone IG snap. So, so glad I did. Oh these brothers. They share a special bond and I love it. Every once in awhile, I get it captured on my camera. Ah, little moments like this.
