Chasing truth, beauty, goodness, and all things naturally wholistic.

Faith over fear.

Ephesians 2:8-10

I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart since 2003. Together, we have four amazing children, by birth and adoption. When I am not homeschooling my favorite students, I spend my days on our 7-acre property where I try my best to love my family well and experiment with hobby homesteading. My favorite things to do are cultivate my ever-expanding gardens, wrangle chickens, ferment all the things, sourdough bake with einkorn flour, and figure out new ways to use herbal remedies and essential oils. I believe God has tasked us to be good stewards of our spaces in the world, and I guide my children to do the same.

I am a board member of The Sparrow Fund and an Empowered to Connect Facilitator. I love to dig in the dirt, cook nourishing food, capture beauty through my camera lens, watch the sunrise on the beach, and spend time with good literature on my porch while sipping on a hot cup of coffee.

It’s Ours!

It’s been a whirlwind few weeks!  But I’m thrilled to share that we settled on our new house on November 30th, and moved in on December 4th!  We’ve been working hard to unpack and make the house our own, but we are still taking a little time to enjoy all of our new outdoor space too.  We’ve had unseasonably warm weather for December, which has allowed us opportunities to take walks to the creek, 4-wheel, and spend lots of time exploring.  We’ve definitely had to work through some adjustments too, but overall I think the transition has gone incredibly well.  We’ve been busy, but even managed to get our Christmas tree decorated.  Everyone is enjoying our newfound country living, and I’m looking forward to slowing down.  Eventually.  After I finish painting the house and unpacking boxes.  🙂

We’ll be celebrating Christmas out of town this year with our family in Texas.  We haven’t seen them in years and the anniversary of my Daddy’s passing on Christmas Eve just made it too hard for me to stay home.  So we’re looking forward to making new memories with our cousins!
